Event Translate began with a large church event in London with over a thousand attendees.
The idea began in 2025, when Daniel’s wife, a pastor, was preparing for a large church gathering with over a thousand attendees. As part of the preparation, she asked Daniel to help search for online translation solutions that could support a multilingual audience.
But the options available at the time were far from ideal. Some were too expensive, while others struggled with the realities of live events — fast-paced speakers, imperfect audio, delays, mistranslations, and complex venue setups.
As a software engineer, Daniel saw an opportunity to build something better: a real-time AI translation tool that was accurate, practical, easy to use, and designed specifically for live events.
That was how Event Translate began.
